The decorative apparatus of the altar of the Holy Crucifix has been preserved almost intact in the lower part.

In the first third of the fluted shaft, the bas-relief with a vegetal motif alternates with winged putti and satyr faces.

The blocks of the pedestals, on the other hand, depict a pair of griffins surmounted by a garland composed of fruit and flowers, topped by a winged putto.

The decorative structure finally frames a molded cornice, concluded at the corners by winged angel heads, which housed the wooden crucifix.
